Marklin as a toy train manufacturer gained peoples trust in the industry. It was able to survive up to its 40th year despite the competition to other manufacturers. It was being managed by his family members through time and even after the WORLD WAR II, the time when they lost a lot of money by losing their foreign customers, they still managed to survive with their local consumers. At fist they were just doll house makers with at least 400 employees, which through time increased as they ceased toy production, specifically the one for trains o scale. Theodor Friedrich Wilhelm Mrklin (1817-1866) is the founder of this company.
