How do you make Fragrance Fuel for Fragrance Lamps?

Posted by admin on July 14th, 2010 and filed under fragrance | 1 Comment »

I got 2 of them for Christmas and would like to know how to make my own fuel. I tried one recipe already but now I am having trouble keeping the wick burning. The recipe I used was 16 FL OZ. of 91% Isopropyl Alcohol and .3 OZ Fragrance Oil. I bought the oil at Walmart because I had read that some do use it. It is called potpourri refresher oil and comes in a very small vial. I would love to be able to make my own because the fuel is so expensive to buy. What am I doing wrong? Thanks for any help!

It is difficult to make your own. Try 100% alcohol with two drops of Chanel No.5 perfum. This could work. Good luck!

How do I start my own fragrance brand?

Posted by admin on July 12th, 2010 and filed under fragrance | 5 Comments »

So I want to start my own fragrance brand. I’m not really into fashion and don’t want to start a clothing line. I just want to produce and market a cologne. How would I get started on this? I’m going to college next fall and want to have an idea about how to start.

Best Car Fragrance

Posted by admin on July 9th, 2010 and filed under fragrance | 25 Comments »

I have finally done it…After a grueling decade of research, I have narrowed the best car fragrance candidates down to THE ONE. I am, of course, speaking of Tom Ford’s Black Orchid. The video will explain the rest.

This is my homage to the great, stylish, and forever tender Lollipop26 who, for some reason, wears this fragrance on her body. To each her own, right?!

Don’t leave without telling me your absolute favorite fragrance. If you have a favorite car or automobile fragrance, even better!! I would love to know!

If you would like, add me on Twitter @

I love you all! I hope you appreciate this light-hearted, fun video. While I am not being uber serious, I actually do mean everything I say in the video…it really is a great Car Scent. Anyway, I will see you all soon! Thank you so much for watching, and don’t forget to Subscribe!!

Yours Truly,

Whats the difference between a fake fragrance and the real thing?

Posted by admin on July 8th, 2010 and filed under fragrance | 6 Comments »

I think im going to buy Aquolina’s Pink sugar fragrance, and i think at Kohls they have it cheap(i think), but at Sephora its expensive.

At Kohls it might be fake. Is there a big difference in the fake and real thing?
do you know how i can tell if its real or fake?

Fake perfume usually contains a high water content and therefore it won’t smell as good or last at long. Real perfume is more oil so it lasts longer, smells better, and you get your moneys worth out of it in my opinion.

How can you tell if a fragrance has gone bad?

Posted by admin on July 6th, 2010 and filed under fragrance | 4 Comments »

I had a Prada fragrance for about a year and a half, and when I spray it on it smells like rubbing alcohol… I think it’s gone bad?

Normally most perfume will last 2-3 years from the day they are made, then it will lose qualities and it not doing you any good if you wear it. There are a few signs to look for. First, note the color. If that begins to change then you have bad perfume on your hands and should toss it out right away. Also, if you begin to smell a tinge of vinegar, it is time to get rid of it (though you probably would anyway if it smells like vinegar). Hope it help

Can you suggest a detergent to wash baby’s clothes preferably fragrance and dye free?

Posted by admin on July 3rd, 2010 and filed under fragrance | 6 Comments »

I am travelling with my 4 month old baby to India for the first time. He has sensitive skin and I used baby detergent in the US which is gentle on the clothes. Does anybody know of a similar detergent in India- any thing that is dye andd fragrance free works well with baby clothes. Alternatively can anybody suggest something that I can use? I am uncertain what to do, as I am staying in different places (Mumbai, Coimbatore and Mangalore) for about 2 months and cannot carry detergent from the US.Thanks!

I found this detergent at my friends online baby store www.babywillows.com. It’s called The Laundress Baby Detergent
I am sure they can ship it anywhere you are. Its got very good reviews online and should probably only take a couple of days to reach you.
